Description

Dr. Al Muftah obtained her PhD from the University of Exeter in the UK in 2004, with a focus on human capital in Qatar. She has published her research in a number of academic journals.​ She has held several managerial positions, working as the Director of Human Resources at Qatar University (2004-2008), an advisor to the to the Vice President of Administrative Affairs at Qatar University (2009), an advisor to the Minister of Economy and Commerce (2010), Director of Human Resources at the Qatar Railways Company (2012-2014), the Executive Director of the Childhood Cultural Center (2012-2014) and as an Associate Professor at Qatar University since 2010. Dr. Al Muftah has also been a member of a number of national committees, notably the Commission on the Development of Qatar University (2004-2008), Silatech (2006-2007) and a committee on labor market strategy in Qatar in collaboration with the World Bank (2005-2007) and the Qatar National Development Strategy (2008).
