Dr. Amal Abuzeinab is VC2020 Lecturer in Architecture with specialism in low passive energy design. Funded by EPSRC, Amal has awarded her PhD in 2015 from University of Salford. Her thesis title was Implementing Green Business Models in the UK Construction Industry: Opportunities and Challenges. Amal has MSc in Architecture from the Robert Gordon University (2010) and BSc Hons in Architecture (2004) from University of Khartoum. She is currently a member of internal committee to evaluate individual research plans for architecture staff. She reviews research articles for peer-reviewed journals such as Journal of Cleaner Production and International Journal of Sustainability in Higher Education. Amal’s current research focus includes: green business models applications to the built environment; sustainable housing for developing countries; and sustainability in architectural education.
