Description
I got my BS Information Technology degree in 2015 and start my career with a technology firm, explorer new technologies & ideas, but I’m not proud. Being a resident of a developing country, I want to eradicate social sector issues i.e. health and educational issues related to multidimensional poverty. I was ambitious about how government make budget, policies and programs for inclusive development and address social gaps.
In February 2017, I started MS Development Studies: Development, Technology and Policy. I taught how to make policies, programs and address global development issues faced by our planet. Moreover, the program address three key issues faced by policymakers: The ecological emergency; developing financial and social imbalance and violence. Understanding these problems and designing public policies to address them requires information technology knowledge to use large amounts of data in policy analysis, cutting edge research as well as evidence-based policy formulation.
Before joining, I never knew even the name of the P&D Board. When joined, the 2017-18 Annual Development Plan (ADP) formulation process was at the middle of the planning cycle. I was dragged in and after learning some basics, become a member of the (ADP) formulation team. In 2018-19, I was fully involved in ADP formulation and formulated ADP from scratch and presented a $ 2 Billion development budget plan. After knowing the complete process of ADP as discussed in earlier sections, it has amazing importance in the provincial economy development. Indeed, it is a policy tool for economic prosperity if fully utilized in allocated financial resources.
I am working on Annual Development Plan (ADP) planning cycle. Provide support in the ADP formulation process of the social and production sector by conducting evidence-based need assessment of the development projects after consulting stakeholders. Process case for approval of financial resources for development projects by analyzing development financial ceilings. Serving as a focal point for coordination, monitoring, and expedition of project implementation activities, involving extensive liaison across the Institute and its national and international development partners (UNDP, USAID, World Bank, IFAD, NRSP, JICA, ADB, FAO) to initiate requests, prepare standard terms of reference against project objectives, obtain necessary clearances, process and follow-up on administrative actions, and resolve issues related to project implementation. Liaise with relevant stakeholders, obtain necessary approval from various approving forums to ensure project compliances and execution
