Description
Samia Melhem is the Global lead on Digital Development at the World Bank’s Transport and ICT Global Practice. Her responsibilities include project management for investment operations advisory services, capacity building, and knowledge sharing. She has managed several digital government projects around the world (Rwanda, Egypt, Philippines, Burkina Faso, etc.) in digital transformation investment operations. She has worked as integrator and coordinator of Africa and MNA portfolio. She has managed the production of global knowledge goods and toolkits on Digital government, electronic procurement, cloud computing, entrepreneurship and innovation, open data, open source, telecoms policy reform and gender inclusion. She has authored several research, policy notes on digital development. She holds degrees in Electrical Engineering (BS), Computer Sciences (MS) and Finance (MBA).
