Description

Sociologist, specialist in development issues with an interest in Methodology with a focus on human rights, citizenship, leisure and mediation with regard to: City-Country reports (Urbanism, Ruralism); Migration; Social categories in difficulty (childhood, youth, women, the elderly); Exclusion, precariousness; Violence and radicalization. IURS holder since 1988 where I directed several research programs in humanities and social sciences, on youth, citizenship and migration, which were crowned by publications. Affiliated to Masters: Education and Integration of children and young people in difficulty (Faculty of Education Sciences), Social Change and human development (Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences) and Media and Migration (Higher Institute of Information and Communication). Currently, I am the national coordinator of the Moroccan Sociology Network (RMS), which brings together all university teachers of sociology and anthropology in Morocco. The RMS organize National Day of Sociology since 2017. Detached as an expert to the Office of His Majesty’s Advisor the Sultan for Economic Planning Affairs in the Sultanate of Oman (2002-2006). Back at IURS, I was also detached to the National School of Architecture (2010-2014) as part of the support program for teaching human sciences to architects where I managed on behalf from UNICEF the pilot project of “Child and Youth Friendly Communes” prepared in cooperation with the General Direction of Local Authorities (Ministry of the Interior, Morocco). Visiting professor at several universities and higher education establishments, both as a teacher and for the supervision of diplomas: Royal Institute for the Training of Youth and Sports Managers (supervision of the Leisure module); Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts and Cultural Animation (Development of the Sociology curriculum and supervision of modules: Leisure and Cultural Animation); Higher Institute of Information and Communication (Writing techniques in Arabic); Higher Institute of Audio-visual and Cinema Professions (Teaching of visual socio-anthropology). I was hired as a consultant to carry out studies or reports with several UN agencies (UNFPA, UNICEF, UNESCO, CEA), regional (ISESCO, LAS) and national, international (IOM) and foreign NGOs. As a civil society actor, I am the President of the Mediation Area (EsMed) and Coordinator of the Moroccan Transnational Migration Development Network (RMTMD), as well as the African Migration Development Network (RAMD). For this, I accompanied the Global Forum Migration Development (GFMD) from 2009 to 2018. I have published books and studies in Arabic, French and English with translations into Spanish.
