Description

Professor Awad Osman M. Abu Suwar earned both BSc (1977) and MSc (1982) degrees in Agriculture, majoring in Agronomy at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Khartoum and a PhD (AgronomyRangeand Pastures) from the University of Arizona, USA in 1986. He is a Professor with the Department of Arid Land Agriculture, College of Meteorology, Environment and Arid land Agriculture, King A/ Aziz University of Saudi Arabia. His research focuses on forage production and range management with emphasis on re-vegetation of arid lands, water harvesting, utilization of marginal land for forage production and desertification control. He is the author of more than 35 peer-reviewed journal papers and seven books. Professor Abu Suwar has supervised more than 34 MSc and 11 PhD candidates.
