Dr. Hala Abou Arraj (American University of Beirut) Lebanon

Hala Abou Arraj is the Interim Registrar at the American University of Beirut since August 2017. She accumulates her experience in higher education and in student services to 22 years. Hala Abou Arraj graduated with a PhD degree in Political Sciences from the Lebanese University on November 2017. She received her Master’s degree and her Bachelor’s degree from the American University of Beirut in 2000 and 1994 respectively. Her most recent contributions include a chapter in a book entitled: “The AACRAO International Guide: A Resource for International Education Professionals”, published in 2016 by the Library of Congress (ISBN:97815785811). In addition, she served on many committees including the Academic Progress and Graduation Committee of American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers for two terms; and the Steering Committee of the SunGard (and later Ellucian) European User Group Conference (2011-2014).
