Hayder Bakhit holds a Bachelor degree in Hydrology from the University of Dar es Salaam and has worked as an engineer in the Irrigation Department of the Nile Water Authority since July 1968; Hayder Bakhit received a Diploma in Water Resources from Perugia, Italy in 1982; in 1985 Hayder Bakhit holds a Master's degree (Environmental Technology) from Omdurman Al-Ahliyya University; Hayder Bakhit was assigned the Tropical Lakes Project (Hydromet) in 2005; Hayder Bakhit was Technical Director, Office of the Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources, Kenya/Uganda, 1990-1997 ; Hayder Bakhit, Director of the Nile Water Authority, 1997-2000; Hayder Bakhit, National Water Resources Specialist, 2000-2010; Hayder Bakhit, Ministry of Irrigation and Water Resources, February 2010-January 2012.
