Description
Mohamed Alhaj is an engineer and a researcher in the field of sustainable energy. He obtained his Ph.D. from Hamad Bin Khalifa University in Qatar in 2019, where he worked on the integration of concentrated solar power with seawater thermal desalination plants. Mohamed's research, which resulted in several peer-reviewed papers and awards, examined the technical, economic, and environmental considerations for solar-driven desalination technology. Prior to his Ph.D., Mohamed obtained his MSc. in Energy Technology from the National University of Malaysia in 2014 and his BEng. Honours in Mechatronics Engineering from The University of Nottingham in 2012. Mohamed's research interests include renewable energy systems modelling, renewable energy policy, decentralised and distributed generation systems, and life-cycle assessment. Mohamed is also the founder of Sudasolar (www.suda.solar), which is an educational initiative focusing on renewable energy.
