Description
Dr Osamah Al Gohari is currently Secretary General for Al Turath Foundation founded by HRH Prince Sultan Bin Salman Bin Abdull Aziz Al Saud for promoting awareness of national, Arabic and Islamic Heritage through Historical documentations, National archives for Historic photographs, Heritage publications, seminars and conferences, and HRH Prince Sultan Bin Salman Urban Heritage award. Al Gohari's main objectives' are to facilitate the realization of the foundation activities through his management and his background as a faculty member at King Saud University for more than four decades in Architecture and Muslim culture and heritage. Dr Al Gohari obtained his PhD, MSc & MA from the University of Pennsylvania, USA. Areas of specialisation and research interests include: Theory and History of Architecture; Islamic Art and Architecture; Traditional Architecture; Mosque Architecture; and Islamic Architecture.
